  • What is the difference between on-grid and off-grid solar systems?

An off-grid system refers to a solar energy set-up which is supported by battery storage and an inverter. This allows households or businesses to generate electricity completely separate to the local power grid. On-grid systems however only supplement your usage of major energy suppliers, but still reduce your reliance, and therefore costs.

  • How often should have my air conditioner filters cleaned?

While most modern air conditioners have a warning light to indicate when a filter is dirty and needs to be cleaned, a good standard to follow is one clean per season. This will ensure your unit doesn't suffer from reduced efficiency. Larger commercial systems may need to be serviced as often as once a month.

  • How can I lower the running costs of my air conditioner?

Aside from having your unit serviced regularly, there are a few ways you can save money on your energy costs every day. These include:

    • Keeping the target temperature between 24°C–26°C in summer and 20°C–21°C in winter
    • Insulate walls & roofs
    • Use ceiling fans
    • Update any non-glazed windows Use blinds or curtains to keep sunlight out
